When you’re running a household and loving the process of beautiful living, it’s inevitable you’ll start looking online for ideas and inspiration.
While there’s no shortage of helpful DIYs and tutorials out there, there’s just something special about finding a blogger whose aesthetic and vibe feel comfortable and at home. Our quest for beautiful living has brought us into contact with a number of amazing blogs, both professional and amateur, on everything we love writing about too. These are our favourites of the moment:
Our House Now A Home
We first came across Our House Now A Home when Steve wanted to try his hand at creating a shoe rack project for Amanda’s mom. Steve and Lila share a birthday, so it was a great project for a gift (even though it took longer than expected). The post on Emily’s blog detailed all the steps, and from that point on we were hooked! Steve had to alter the plans a little bit for the tools and space available, but it still turned out pretty cool. You’ll get the full post later, but here’s the final product:
Our House Now a Home is FILLED with fantastic projects, crafts, design ideas, and recipes. It’s also a great read, so you’ll definitely want to plug this one into Bloglovin’, and be sure to follow along on social media for great ideas.
Bless’er House is another beautiful living design blog that sparkles with fantastic design and DIY ideas.
Lauren is a mom and designer with a flair for contemporary yet comfortable design. Here DIY mods with Ikea furniture are out of this world, and her DIY tutorials are easy to follow and look fantastic (look for a future #PinTest on some of her projects!). Her’s is one of the blogs we started following when we downloaded some of her printable botanicals for our frames. If that’s a look you’re into, you should definitely check this one out.
Nina Hendrick Design Co.
Remember that shoe rack we mentioned from Our House Not A Home? Well, Steve was using a fairly rough grade of plywood, and went looking for some tips on cabinet painting. What he found was Nina Hendrick‘s handy DIY guide to how she finished her kitchen cabinets while hiding the grain! This lead to subsequent (slightly obsessive) downloads of her outstanding seasonal printables (look for the pumpkins…they’re amazing!), and a genuine interest in her ongoing recommendations.
Nina is clearly a professional designer, and her style is clean and contemporary. In addition to her online tips and advice, she also offers professional services, training, and more. It’s an inspiring experience, and one we highly recommend spending some time with.
Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body
You may remember Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body from an early post on our blog. It was Tasha’s remake of a West Elm pendant light that made up our first official #PinTest and ultimately sparked the idea for Pin Warriors to become a blog in the first place.
Tasha’s design blog is a wealth of ideas and advice, and includes some pretty outstanding free guides to help with your design struggles. Even better, she has a great selection of printables, plus a design shop that’s second to none. Clever solutions and sound advice plus a great attitude and fun vibe are all reasons to hang out with Tasha online!
A Beautiful Mess
Sisters Elsie and Emma are the power duo behind A Beautiful Mess. It’s a blog that we feel a connection with, in that it reflects our love of beautiful living: food, decorating, style, kids…it’s all there. And they do it in a fun friendly way that just makes for a great time.
You’ll find a wealth of valuable DIY crafts and ideas on ABM. Whether you’re looking for home design, great ideas for kids, or just some great tips for personal style, this is a fun, trendy, and extremely well-written blog that packs a lot into a compact space. Don’t miss this one!
